2024 Eagle-Tribune Boys Tennis MVP and All-Stars (2024)

Tim Wang had a sensational year and career for the Jaguars. This season, 2024 Eagle-Tribune Boys Tennis Player of the Year helped Windham finish 12-2 overall, advancing to the New Hampshire Division II state semifinals.

Last year the team finished 4-10.

At first singles, he finished 12-1 with his lone loss coming against the eventual state champion, and he was part of the first doubles team with Gilbert Feke and they finished 15-1 overall. On the season, Wang was seeded the fifth best singles player and part of the fifth best doubles team in the state tournament.

Over the past three years, he compiled 53 victories.

“Both Tim and Gilbert have been two-year captains and were instrumental in leading our turnaround,” said head coach Ross Suleski. “On the court, Tim was dominant thanks to his all-around game. His backhand was nearly just as strong as his forehand, which is rare. His ability to hit a variety of winners proved overwhelming for many of his opponents.

“Tim also has a strong kick-serve that combines power and spin. Most impressive was his improved mental game, never losing confidence if he gave up a few early games. He was just extremely consistent without any real weaknesses.”

Wang graduated in the top 10 of his academic class and given the school’s Computer Science Award. He will be attending the University of Florida and will major in computer science. He hopes to play on the club tennis team.
