It's filled with scavenging, hunting, and collecting items to create amazing bases, food, or other supplies. One of those elements includes the creation of Beer Liquid.

Beer Liquid is essentially a drink players can create to grant them a few buffs or just to make them drunk for a while. It's thoroughly enjoyable to do but can be a little challenging and long-winded to make due to the ingredients and the time it takes to brew. However, it's definitely worth trying at least once. Here's how to make this interesting drink.

What's The Point Of Beer Liquid?

Just like many things in Ark: Survival Evolved, Beer is there for two reasons. The first is to make the game a little silly and much more enjoyable, and the second is to grant the player some useful buffs. However, this doesn't come without a few setbacks, as it typically goes when drinking alcohol.

Essentially, if the player drinks Beer it will increase their insulation, they will get a 40 percent damage reduction from melee attacks, and their water consumption will be largely reduced. In this drunk state that lasts two minutes, they will gain these buffs but will likely have little to no stamina. After the two minutes is up, players will get a hangover which causes them to have no stamina for one minute meaning the player can't run.

The Ingredients

Thankfully the ingredients required to make Liquid Beer itself aren't too challenging to get hold of, it's just the issue of the player needing to get quite a few of the same ingredients that can be a little frustrating. However, they are relatively abundant around Ark's large maps. Nevertheless, to make the Liquid Beer, players will need these items and ingredients:

• 50 Berries
• 40 Thatch
• Beer Barrel

Thankfully, the berries required can be of any type which makes finding bushes a little less stressful, and the Thatch isn't too difficult to gather. To make the Beer Barrel, however, players will need a fair few more elements which are far from simple. They'll need:

• 500 Wood
• 80 Metal Ingots
• 100 Cementing Paste

While there may be a lot of elements to the Beer Barrel, the player will only need to build it once since it doesn't break after creating one Beer Liquid. Make sure to keep it safe, and this machine will keep producing Beer as long as there are Berries and Thatch.

How To Get The Beer Barrel Ingredients

Firstly, the player will need to make the Beer Barrel and for that, they'll need Wood, Metal Ingots, and Cementing Paste. Luckily, the Wood is available by chopping down trees using either the player's hand, a hatchet, or other items like chainsaws when available.

While gaining metal itself is a similar process, requiring a pickaxe and rocks, creating metal ingots is more complicated. The player will need to smelt the metal using a Refining Forge to create these metal ingots. Unfortunately, two metal ores make one metal ingot, so it can be rather tedious. Luckily, provided the player is sufficient at killing dinosaurs, making Cementing Paste isn't as much of a challenge. The player will need Chitin, Keratin, and Stone. The Chitin and Keratin can be obtained by harvesting dinosaurs and the stone can be obtained by mining using a hatchet.

How To Get The Beer Ingredients

When it comes to getting hold of 50 berries and 40 thatch it's thankfully much easier than creating the Beer Barrel. All players will need is to hunt around the world and look for bushes with berries on them. Since almost any variety will work, look around for Amarberries, Azulberries, Mejoberries, and Tintoberries. Finding 50 shouldn't be too much of an issue since they're relatively colorful and plenty on most islands in Ark: Survival Evolved.

Thatch is primarily found when harvesting trees. While it may be the obvious choice, using an ax on a tree will not get the player Thatch. Instead, try using a pickaxe. When using this tool on a tree the player should find 40 Thatch relatively simple to grab.

How To Make Beer Liquid

Once the ingredients have been gathered, the player simply needs to place them into the newly created beer barrel and wait for it to brew. It's worth knowing that the brewing process takes six hours so is far from a quick process. While waiting, why not tame a new dinosaur or explore this open-world survival game for all it brings?

Nevertheless, once this has finished, simply grab a water jar and put it in the barrel. This will remove the liquid and grant the player Beer Liquid. All that's left to be done is to drink it and reap its benefits, but also it's rather funny but often frustrating negatives.
