Happy… wait, no… there’s no explicitly “yellow” holiday, so scratch that part. When we did our “green list“, we started off with good old Saint Paddy because we were celebrating the color green in that article. Today, we’re going with the color yellow, and… well, we’re just going to stick to that. Although it’s a fairly rare color in the world of superheroes, the color yellow is certainly present, and, as we all know, there are a lot of very important superheroes that are associated with the color yellow, either because they are yellow or wear yellow costumes. In today’s article, we are going to give you a list of the 10 best yellow superheroes, divided by those that are naturally yellow in color and those that just wear yellow costumes. Enjoy!

7. Trini Kwan

Hailing from the Power Rangers franchise we have Yellow Ranger Trini Kwan. Trini is a high school student from Angel Grove, California. She is Kimberly Hart’s best friend. She practices Japanese martial art. She enjoys spending time with her other friends Jason, Billy, and Zack. One day, the five of them are teleported to a command center. They meet Zordon and the Alpha 5 robot there. They discover that they have been selected to become the Power Rangers, five soldiers whose mission is to defend the Earth, and the evil Rita Repulsa, a witch imprisoned for 10,000. years. Trini then becomes the Yellow Ranger.
Her Zord (Ranger’s metallic combat robot) is inspired by a Smilodon, as is his transmutation medallion. Trini and her friends will then lead many battles against Rita and her minions, in particular the terrible Goldar. The Rangers then cross paths with Tommy Oliver, who faces Jason in a hotly contested fight in a martial arts tournament. Tommy is then greeted by the rest of the gang. But Rita Repulsa takes possession of Tommy’s mind and transforms it into an evil being, the Green Ranger. He must then face the Power Rangers.
Eventually, Tommy will manage to free himself from Rita’s grip. However, he will retain his Green Ranger powers and will be integrated with the other Rangers. Later, the Power Rangers find out that Zordon has created a new Power Ranger, the White Ranger. When the latter is introduced to the others, Kimberly falls in love with discovering the identity of the Ranger, Tommy. The latter had left town since he lost his Green Ranger powers. Trini leaves Angel Grove to attend a Country Conference in Switzerland, along with two other Rangers, Jason, and Zack. Trini will be replaced as Yellow Ranger by Aisha Campbell.
6. Booster Gold

Our next superhero that wears yellow is Michael Jon Carter also known as Booster Gold. Michael Jon Carter was born into a very poor family in the 25th century; his father had brought his family to ruin due to gambling debts. Fortunately, Michael got the chance to go to college thanks to a scholarship he got from his football successes. His father, however, convinced him to fix a game on which he had bet but was discovered and banned from college and the possibility of becoming a professional. He found work as a caretaker in a Metropolis museum; Michael studied the history of the great heroes of the 20th century and decided to use Rip Hunter’s time machine to seek his fortune in that century, thanks to other artifacts he had stolen from the museum.
As soon as he arrived in our time, he found himself foiling an organized plot to kill the president of the United States; taking advantage of the publicity that followed, Michael invented the nickname Booster Gold and became the first superhero devoted to commercial profits. To definitively launch his image, he tried to join the greatest team of heroes, the Justice League International: they initially rejected him, not approving his ideas and his commercial stunts, but when Booster proved decisive in defeating the Gang of the Ladder Reale, he was admitted to the team.
Here he made the acquaintance of the one who will become his greatest friend: Ted Kord, aka Blue Beetle. A deep friendship was born between the two, which was based on the same (questionable) sense of humor and the same crazy ideas of making money using the name of the JLA. During the clash with the alien Doomsday (to whom Booster gives the name, frightened by his extraordinary power) his costume is destroyed; it will be Ted Kord who will provide him with another one.
Shortly before the events of Infinite Crisis, Booster Gold investigates the disappearance of his friend Ted Kord; to his enormous displeasure, he discovers that it was their old friend Maxwell Lord, who killed him. Justice League International, reveals to him that he has always hated superheroes. This discovery causes Booster to lose faith in all heroes, and he even contemplates returning to his century of origin.
5. The Wasp

Janet van Dyne aka the Wasp was the daughter of the wealthy scientist Vernon van Dyne, and heiress to his fortune. During an experiment, Dr. van Dyne was killed by an alien monster. Her father’s colleague, Dr. Henry Pym, had created a substance that he called “Pym particles” that could be used to enlarge or reduce someone. He used this himself to become the hero Ant-Man. When Janet’s father died, she convinced Henry to help her.
Henry gave her a dose of Pym particles and performed an additional procedure. This not only gave her the ability to shrink, but in her shrunken form, she got wings and the ability to release energy. She called herself the Wasp and, along with Ant-Man, defeated the monster that killed her father. Shortly after, she became a member of the Avengers. Although she and Henry occasionally left the team, both were very long members. During her time with the Avengers, Janet got better at her job as a superhero, eventually becoming the leader of the team.
Janet and Henry became romantically involved, but because of his busy work, Henry never proposed to her. One day, a new crime fighter named Yellowjacket broke into the Avengers headquarters and claimed to have eliminated Henry Pym and kidnapped Wasp. To the wrath of the Avengers, Wasp married Yellowjacket. The wedding was disrupted by an attack from the Circus of Crime, and this fight revealed that Yellowjacket was actually Henry Pym.
He had developed a major form of schizophrenia from an accident involving chemicals. Wasp knew about this and made good use of it. Henry’s mental problems eventually broke the relationship. Recently, during the “Avengers Disassembled” storyline, Wasp fell into a coma. When she came to, she and Henry gave up their positions with the Avengers and decided to start a new life in Oxford.
4. Wallace West

Wallace first appears in The Flash Annual #3 (June 2014) in a story set twenty years in the future, when a tired old Flash (Barry Allen) reads about Wallace’s funeral and vows to change history. Related to the ongoing story The New 52: Futures End, The Flash: Futures End #1 describes an encounter between Barry from five years in the future (when Wallace is supposed to die) and Barry, 20 years old in the future, who is willing to prevent it.
Over the course of the story, Wallace ends up learning that Barry is Flash and absorbs some of the Speed Force – the source of Flash’s abilities – during the battle between Barry and his future counterpart. He becomes a Speedster, but his hero career is short-lived; he sacrifices himself to fix an error in the Speed Force. However, the effects of time travel, this has implications for Wallace early in his story. Around the same time, in the current narrative of The Flash, Barry first meets Wallace through Iris. He is struck by lightning and acquires Speedster abilities; an apparition of his future self explains that as a consequence of how his future self had died repairing the Speed Force, all the power within him was able to travel back in time and use Wallace’s lightning accident as a catalyst.
Wallace’s first act as a Speedster is to use his powers to protect a classmate from a bully, using the same artistic elements as Professor Zoom’s powers. DC Rebirth #1, part of a company-wide event of the same name, marked DC’s attempts to restore much of what it lost in the New 52 reboot, both in tone and in the stories of its characters. . It features Wally West looking at his younger cousin, Wallace, from outside of time, proud and in awe that he too has become a sprinter, and reflecting on how they are both named after the same grandfather. Wally is brought back to reality by Barry, who remembers him for the first time since the events of Flashpoint.
Teen Titans Rebirth #1, shows Wallace joining the Teen Titans superhero team as Kid Flash. Wallace, as Kid Flash, meets Wally West, as Flash, when he helps Barry deal with an accident on a bridge, although Wally does not explicitly introduce himself to his cousin, he simply identifies himself as an ally of Barry, although Wallace accepts it. later. They work together to save Barry from a temporary infusion of Speed Force energy. He later discovers that he was created after Barry created the Flashpoint timeline.

In the original version of the Doctor Fate stories, which, despite occasional reinterpretations, has remained the most formative to this day, Doctor Fate hides a mysterious man named Kent Nelson, who, thanks to his mastery of only vaguely described mystical arts, is equipped with two powerful artifacts – the helmet of Nabu and the amulet of Anubis; in the stories, there are all kinds of adventures. As the protector of humanity from threats of a supernatural kind, Fate travels the most diverse corners of the world as well as various legendary and fictional mythical and mystical spheres, such as other dimensions, the afterlife, and the underworld, in order to repel threats of a magical or otherwise supernatural kind.
His opponents include the magicians Wotan, Ian Karkull, Nergal, Mr. Who, The Clock, The Octopus, and Mad Dog as well as various crazy scientists, mafia members, and other criminals. Doctor Fate’s visual trademark is the Nabu helmet, a magical helmet made of gold that is the main source of its powers. In most of the stories, Fate also wears a kind of costume, in accordance with the conventions of the American superhero genre, which consists of a blue robe and a large yellow cloak.
In this version, Nelson’s abilities as a magician are traced back to an event in his childhood: in 1920, Kent Nelson, around twelve years old, accompanied his father – the American archaeologist Sven Nelson – to archaeological excavations in the valley of Ur in the Mesopotamian desert, during which they found the tomb of exposing ancient magician Nabu. After Sven Nelson has a fatal accident, Nabu – who is still alive in his grave as an undead dead due to his magic – takes the orphaned Kent under his wing and teaches him as his student in his arts. In the following years, Nelson matured into a magician of great mastery.
Nabu finally hands him a powerful helmet (the helmet of Nabu) and an amulet (the amulet of Anubis), which massively strengthens Nelson’s magical abilities. In 1940 Nelson finally returned to the United States, where he took up residence in an invisible tower in Salem, Massachusetts. Given the numerous threats that humanity is facing at this point in time, Nelson and his partner Inza Cramer take up the fight against them. He is also supported by Nabu, whose spirit is inherent in Nabu’s helmet and who advises him with his wisdom.

His father, Don, is one of the Tornado Twins and his paternal grandfather is Barry Allen, the second Flash. Her paternal grandmother, Iris West Allen, is also the adoptive aunt of the first Kid Flash, Wally West (Bart’s former first cousin). Additionally, Bart is the first cousin of XS, a Legionnaire, and the daughter of Dawn Allen. On his mother’s side, he is a descendant of the supervillains Professor Zoom and Cobalt Blue, as well as Owen Mercer’s half-brother, the second Captain Boomerang. In addition to these relatives, he had a supervillain clone known as Inertia.
For most of his superhero career, Bart was the teenage sidekick to the Wally West version of The Flash. After West’s apparent death in the Infinite Crisis crossover event in 2006, Allen grew up and became the Flash. His tenure as Flash was brief and ended with his death in The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive #13. Allen was subsequently absent for nearly two years after his apparent death but resurfaced, young again, as Kid Flash, in 2009’s Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds. During DC’s The New 52 era, Bart Allen was reintroduced. in Teen Titans as the alias of an amnesiac revolutionary from the future named Bar Torr; the character was later written out of the comics, and his tenure was erased from continuity by the subsequent DC Rebirth initiative. The original Bart Allen was recovered as part of DC Rebirth’s Wonder Comics Young Justice series.

The last entry on our list of superheroes who wear yellow is non-other than Wolverine. Wolverine is the superhero/mutant name of one James Howlett, a fictional superhero/antihero appearing in Marvel’sX-Menfranchise. Wolverine is also known as Logan and Weapon X. Wolverine’s origin story involves a lot of blood and tragedy. He was born as James Howlett in Canada during the 1880s, as the son of John and Elizabeth Howlett; he was actually the illegitimate son of the groundskeeper Thomas Logan, which explains one of his aliases.
Although his creators weren’t sure which origin story to pick for him, the contemporary Marvel canon states that Wolverine first manifested his powers when bone claws appeared from his hands after his father had killed John Howlett as a retaliation for the latter sending him away after he had been falsely accused of rape. He used the claws to kill Thomas Logan, avenging John Howlett’s death, but now knowing that he was actually murdering his own father. He then became a soldier and mercenary, fighting in both World Wars and living a solitary life in between.
He was recruited as a member of the infamous Team X and given false memory implants. He managed to break free from the fabricated reality but was ultimately kidnapped and turned into a test subject for the Weapon X project. During this captivity, adamantium was inserted into his body, which augmented his powers and made him the famous mutant he is today. He managed to escape and regain his humanity with the help of some friends. Later on, he was recruited by Professor X as a member of the X-Men and the rest is – history.

3. Yellow Hulk

The rest of our list will include superheroes who are actually yellow and we’re starting with one of the Hulk versions, Yellow Hulk. As far as this version of the character is concerned, it appeared in IDW Publishing’s Marvel Action series, which is officially set on Earth-TRN843. It is an alternative version of the original, Green Hulk with most of his characteristics remaining unchanged, save for him being more primal and growling, instead of speaking. He hasn’t appeared much, really, so he’s not a major incarnation of the character but we had to list him here because he is, after all, a yellow superhero. This Hulk went through the Fear Eater process to become a brainwashed, yellow version of the original Hulk.
2. Superman Prime

Superman Prime (DC One Million) is a version of Superman that appeared in the DC One Million comic book, written by Grant Morrison. He is actually Superman, but from the 853rd century, he survived by becoming the living extension of the Sun itself. Superman Prime (DC One Million) is actually the modern-day Superman who left Earth sometime during the late 21st century, after everyone he ever cared about had died.
He traveled the whole DC Comics universe and survived by becoming a sort of deity and an embodiment of the Sun itself. His travels lasted from the 21st century and ended somewhere around the turn of the 700th century. During his travels, he acquired tremendous skills and abilities from across the universe. When he returned, he made a covenant with his descendants and decided to give them a small fraction of his powers, as long as they served truth and justice.
After the covenant, he left and returned to his new Fortress of Solitude in the center of the Super Sun. The time he spent in the Sun increased his already great power to presumably infinite levels. His strength and a whole myriad of other skills he had acquired also rose to unknown levels since his time in the Sun.
After the destruction of Solaris, much was revealed about Superman Prime’s (DC One Million) hibernation in the Super Sun. During this time he had been waiting for Solaris to try his hand at life because, thanks to his time-traveling younger self, he had known the events beforehand.
1. Etrigan

In most versions of the story, the plot of the Etrigan comics has its starting point in the legendary Middle Ages and the legend of king Arthur. Etrigan appears when Merlin uses a spell to summon him so that he could help defend the ruling seat of his king, the legendary Camelot Castle, besieged by his archenemy, the witch Morgan le Fay. When Camelot threatens to succumb despite Etrigan’s intervention, Merlin binds Etrigan with a spell to the soul of a mortal man named Jason Blood, in whose soul Etrigan is trapped from now on.
Etrigan resides most of the time, reduced to a ghostly form of existence, in Blood’s soul/spirit/head, as a kind of inner monologue partner or “inner devil” within Blood; he often mocks, insults and provokes him and tries to influence him, especially his to achieve own release. Blood, however, mostly denies the demon freedom and holds him as a prisoner. Sometimes, however, he sets the demon free by a spell, so that Etrigan can walk on Earth again, while Blood is transported as a ghostly being inside it by magic.
Etrigan’s evocation is achieved by Blood through a magical formula, which is achieved by saying the words “Change! Change, O form of man! / Release the might from fleshy mire! / Boil the blood in heart of fire! / Gone! Gone! – the form of man – / Rise, the Demon Etrigan!!“. (An alternative version of the invocation verse is “Yarva Demonicus Etrigan./ Change, change the form of man./ Free the prince forever damned./ Free the might from fleshy mire./ Boil the blood in heart of fire./ Gone, gone the form of man, / Rise the demon Etrigan! “).
